Entry Specifications
A comprehensive weekly chart will be created, listing the top 300 entries from those songs that ranked in either the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100's six metrics (radio airplay, CD sales, downloads, streaming, music video views, and karaoke) or the Top User Generated Songs chart. Artists whose works are extracted from this chart, in compliance with the Billboard JAPAN Heatseekers Songs rules will be considered for entry.
Voting Period
Aggregation Period:
Monday, February 5, 2024, to Sunday, January 26, 2025
【Billboard JAPAN Heatseekers Songs Selection Rules】
・Artists whose songs entered the Top 20 of the HOT 100 or the Top 10 of HOT ALBUMS more than 6 months (26 weeks) ago will be excluded.
・Artists who have charted within the Top 20 of Heatseekers for a total of 4 months (17 weeks) or more within the past 6 months (26 weeks) will be excluded.

*Units and projects involving the above excluded artists will also be excluded. However, artists operating under completely different stage names will not be excluded.
*Applicable to Japan-based artists only.
First Voting Period
・All of the Japan-based Voting Members must vote.
・Voting Members must select between 2 to 5 artists from the entered artists
*Self-selection is allowed; multiple votes on one selection are not allowed
Final Voting Period
・All Japan-based and overseas Voting Members must vote (Overseas Voting Members will only vote in the final round)
・Voting Members will be able to rank up to three artists from the nominated artists (1st place 4 points, 2nd place 2 points, 3rd place 1 point).
*Each Voting Member may choose how many places to vote for
*Self-selection is allowed; multiple votes on one selection are not allowed
