Entry Specifications
A comprehensive weekly chart will be created, listing the top 300 entries from those songs that ranked in either the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100's six metrics (radio airplay, CD sales, downloads, streaming, music video views, and karaoke) or the Top User Generated Songs chart.
Then, the year will be divided into six 2-month periods. For each period, the above-mentioned comprehensive weekly charts will be used to determine the top 100 songs for each period.
Finally, the selected 100 songs from below six periods will be ranked based on total points in and a year-end original chart will be created.
For the songs that ranked in multiple periods, its highest ranking will be considered, After removing the duplicates, all remaining songs on this year-end original chart will be considered entries.
